Abstract

The emergence of large language models (LLMs) has revolutionized the landscape of natural language processing (NLP), especially in the realm of machine translation. This paper explores the concept of language-aware instruction tuning for translation-focused LLMs, aiming to enhance the precision of translations across diverse languages and dialects. By leveraging linguistic nuances, contextual cues, and user intent, this approach seeks to address the common pitfalls associated with traditional instruction tuning methods that often overlook linguistic diversity.
